Lefkada

The Ionian island of Lefkada is located between Corfu and Cephalonia. Lefkada is widely known for its award winning beaches (Porto Katsiki, Egremni Mylos), beautiful natural landscapes and vibrant blend of colours, the olive green, the sea blue and the rock grey, making it one of the most stunning Greek islands to look at, visit and explore.

Whilst Lefkada is easily accessible from Athens by car , just a 4 1/2 hour drive from the capital or a one hour flight that departs daily from Athens to Aktion airport, which is 30min from the city of Lefkada. Its lack of direct flight routes from the UK give the island an air exclusivity.

On the east side of the island, up on a hill overlooking the sea is the village of Katouna, home to the Pavezzo Country Retreat. During the 1950’s Katouna was abandoned by its villagers because the distance from the beach, a mere 3km, was a major obstacle for their occupation of fishing. The last three decades have seen many new home owners arrive in Katouna who have started to bring the village back to life whilst at the same time preserving the old and traditional style kept that the villagers left behind in the 1950s. Katouna now has around 50 residents and an old tavern with a glass of Greece’s finest wine waiting for you so make sure you visit during your stay with us!

For a more lively nightlife, the cosmopolitan Nydri, just 15 km from Pavezzo and town of Lefkada, just 7 km away, offer an array of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
